"Good course covering a lot over the duration but would make sure subnetting and vlsms and the concept is second nature. Had pleny of access to the labs too, 24hrs, great approachable instructor who was very knowledgeable. Spend some time pre-reading ebook version of ICND1 before you undertake then you should hit the road running so to speak. I read the wrong material before hand, Network+ to reaffirm my knowledge of networking as suggested by Firebrand as prereading, dont! This is a Cisco course after all and treat it as such... it is vendor specific and so get familiar with the basic device commands in particular. Because of this I always felt I was a step behind everyone else. OK, it's not cheap...but what you do get is everything you need to pass the course including a copy of Cisco's official exam guide, cram notes, all exams, training, a lab and accomodationn done in one close location so travelling to and from your lab isn't an issue. So, pun warning...so it's all encapsulated and no hassles. Food was average at the hotel but in good order... holiday inn style and Firebrand very professionally run, and no, I am not on the payroll...I can't really say that they didn't do what they said they were going to do, they gave me the knowledge! the rest is up to me."
